Ben Schuster is the Co-Founder and CTO of HRMLESS. He leads the technical vision behind the platform, transforming real-world performance data into scalable HR solutions.

He got his start in IT in the military, spending most of his career in tactical communications with the Joint Communications Unit at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and continued that work afterward at Arma Global/GDIT as a contractor supporting JSOC.

He later joined Cisco as a Technical Leader, where he helped stand up Cisco’s US Public Sector automation team and led a group of engineers building custom automation for federal agencies.

While at Cisco he earned two CCIEs — one in Enterprise Infrastructure, one in Automation — and was the third person in the world to pass the CCIE Automation. He also completed a Doctorate in Information Technology, with a dissertation on enterprise automation adoption. It was a busy six years.

Ben also serves as CTO of [7 Eagle Group](https://7eagle.com/), a veteran success organization and DoD SkillBridge partner that helps transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses launch civilian careers — work that closes the loop on his own transition out of the military.

Ben writes about applied AI, responsible product development, and building software that’s scalable, sustainable, and survivable.
